Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and Stash, run by Hive Asset Group, LLC ("we", "us") when you make an account or use Stash. If you do not agree with them, do not use it.

Your account

• You need to be at least 16 to make an account, and old enough to enter a contract where you live if you pay for one.
• Give a real email address. It is how you get back in if you forget your password, and how we tell you about anything that changes.
• Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
• One person per account. Accounts are not for sharing or reselling.

What you put in stays yours

Everything you stash (files, notes, links, forwarded email) belongs to you. You give us permission to do only what is needed to run Stash for you: store it, read it, name it, sort it, search it, show it to you, and send it to the services listed in the Privacy Policy that do parts of that work. We do not use it to train AI models, we do not sell it, and we do not show it to anyone else.

You need the right to store what you upload. Do not upload things you have no right to keep.

What you cannot do

• Upload anything illegal, including material that sexually exploits children, which we report to the authorities.
• Upload malware, or use Stash to attack, probe or overload it or anyone else.
• Try to get into other people's accounts or data.
• Resell, rent or wrap Stash as a service of your own.

If you do any of these we may suspend or close your account, and where the law requires it, tell the people it needs telling.

The AI can be wrong

Stash uses AI to read, name and sort what you stash, and to answer questions about it. It is usually right and sometimes not. Answers in Ask show the documents they came from so you can check them, and for anything that matters (money, health, legal matters) you should read the document itself rather than rely on a summary of it.

Plans and paying

• Free is free and holds up to 100 things.
• Pro holds up to 2,000 things, for $9 a month or $90 a year, in the currency shown at checkout, plus any tax that applies where you live.
• Paid plans are charged in advance and renew automatically at the end of each month or year until you cancel.
• Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.

When you reach your plan's limit, new things are not accepted until you make room or upgrade. Nothing you already have is deleted.

If we change a price, we will email you at least 30 days before it applies to you, and you can cancel before then.

Cancelling and refunds

• Cancel any time from Settings, under Manage billing. You keep the paid plan until the end of the period you already paid for, and you are not charged again.
• After that you are on Free. Everything stays where it is and stays searchable. You just cannot add more until you are under 100 things again.
• Payments are not refunded for part of a month or year, except where the law where you live says otherwise. If something went wrong with a charge, write to us and we will look at it.
• Deleting your account cancels your subscription at the same moment, and you are not charged again.

Keeping a copy

We work hard to keep your things safe, but you should keep copies of anything you cannot afford to lose. Settings has an export that gives you everything, including the original files, as one zip.

Ending things

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. That deletes everything in it straight away. See the Privacy Policy for exactly what is removed and what is kept.

We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. If we ever decide to shut Stash down, we will give you at least 30 days' notice by email so you can export everything first.

The service as it is

We aim to keep Stash running and your data safe, but we cannot promise it will never be unavailable, slow, or wrong. To the extent the law allows, Stash is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you for anything to do with Stash is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here takes away rights you have as a consumer that the law says cannot be taken away.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will tell you by email or in Stash at least 14 days before the change applies. If you keep using Stash after that, the new terms apply. If you do not agree with them, you can export your things and delete your account.

Which law applies

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, USA, and disputes go to the courts there, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring them somewhere else.
